The Game

As the ball came sailing through the air towards Richie, he knew that what happened over the next few moments could decide the outcome of the game for his team.

With his team-mates all watching him, and a thousand eyes looking at every step he made, what would his team think if he drop the ball?

He gulped while he tried to stop his hands from shaking, making sure he didn't have butter fingers. His heart pounded as loud as a drum inside his chest as he reached his frozen hands into the air to catch the ball…...

 Riche let out a sigh of relief, yet he still needed to score a try. His hands gripped the ball tightly making sure that he wouldn't drop it as he ran towards the tryline. His eyes lit up like the rising sun as he landed safety across the line. The crowd cheers shook the stadium. The All Blacks hit the ground on their knees. Riche was happy as Larry. The cup was theirs!
