My writing
The clear blue waters of Hawaii was cold against my face. At the bottom of the ocean, little colourful fish swam around the reef. Swimming around I barely noticed that something was lurking beneath me. In the corner of my eye, I saw a colossal whale with a mouth the size of a swimming pool. Scared by the sight, I couldn’t move. As I floated the surface of the water the whale got closer and closer. Before I knew it I had been swallowed whole by the whale! I tried to scream but nothing came out.
The guts of the whale were green and slimy. Everywhere I looked I could see old fish bones that looked like they were over three years old. Next to the fish bones, something stood out, an old grandfather clock. Slowly I step towards it. In the cloak a rusty golden key was hanging out of it, not caring at all I turned the key.
Feeling dizzy I fell backwards and blacked out..... It was 5 o'clock by the time I got up. Water was dripping on me as cold as ice. As I got up I was brimming with confusion, I was no longer inside the whale stomach. As a looked around I saw rusty stone steps and faint street lights. It looked like it could have been straight out of the 19th century. When I got up a heavy weight was pulling me down, The clock I thought to myself, but how did it get here with me? The shiny, little golden key was on the ground, blinding my eyes. How did this get here and what year am I in? My question was shortly answered. About 5 feet away was a little shop what was selling daily newspapers. The newspaper had the date on it - 1873, the November the 27th! Stunned, I fell backwards. I needed to get back home. suddenly I realised the clock was the key to everything; the key to moving through time and space. The clock was the only way to get back home so I turned the key again.
Excited that I might be home I opened my eyes. Even though my eyes were open, everything was inky black. Confused I tried to stand up, och my back hit something, where am I? Even still on earth? Am I even human?
As these thoughts rushed through my head I heard a loud crack. Suddenly a ray of sunlight blinded my eyes. I saw a little hole was on the wall. Crack! The hole got bigger and I decided to go through it. Minutes later was on the other side. I looked around, covering my body I was in a smooth giant white shell. As I peeked out of the shell, a beautiful beach was there to greet me. As I gazed at the beach I saw the old grandfather clock, half dug into the sand. Full of
determination to get back home I tried to run to the clock, but I didn't move shocked, I looked around at my body. I had green slimy skin and a shell on my back! The clock had turned me into a turtle! Feeling dizzy I fell backwards again. My epic journey was only the beginning.
